On February 25th, 58 landmarks and more than 10,000 wristbands glowed Boston Children’s Blue to celebrate our incredible Shine Your Light event. Thank you to everyone who donated and shared photos wearing your blue wristbands! Your generosity helped raise more than $120,000 and brightened the night in honor of Boston Children’s patients and families!

What I love most about Shine Your Light is the opportunity for anyone at any age and in any location to participate. With a simple $10 donation to the hospital, individuals received a blue shining wristband — a symbol of support to our patients and families.

As a Boston Children’s Hospital employee of 2.5 years, I've witnessed firsthand the world renowned care and research happening at the hospital. Patients come from more than 120 different countries and all 50 states with the most critical cases. Not only does Boston Children’s provide a next level of care for patients and their families (clowns, therapy dogs, play rooms, art and wellness programs), the hospital’s 1 million square feet of research space is constantly working to better treatment for patients. Boston Children’s clinical trials provide hope to families seeking answers and solutions for their child.

I want to deeply thank Compass Cares for their pivotal role supporting Boston Children’s Hospital. Without your support, Boston Children’s Hospital would not be the world leader it is today, and many of its unique care and groundbreaking research would not be in existence. On behalf of all staff, researchers and physicians at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the most important beneficiaries, our patients, Thank You for Shining for Boston Children’s!
