Risking It All On The Field. Compass To Compete In The Biggest Corporate Field Day EVER. Corporate Cup 2019.

On July 17th, 2019, the Compass Crew will be charging the field of Harvard Stadium, ready to compete in the biggest corporate field day event we’ve ever seen. Although we’re one competitive bunch, we’ll be bringing awareness for Boston Children’s Hospital and the belief that every child should have the opportunity to grow up into a healthy adult. Corporate Cup is an event full of friendly competition, a lot of energy, and inspiring camaraderie within the business community, where all funds raised go to Boston Children’s Every Child Fund. To date, they’ve raised almost $300,000!

It’s not just about becoming the Corporate Cup Champion. It’s about playing hard so one day kids at Boston Children’s Hospital can, too.

Teams battle in different field day events like rowing, football throws, and obstacle courses (just to name a few). The final event comes down to an ultimate Tug of War battle. At the end of the day, a reception is held to announce the winners. Then, the celebration beings. Que the beer, barbeque, and bragging rights!

If you’re not competing, that’s okay! Good news is, anyone can volunteer or donate - every bit of help makes a difference...seriously! If you’re interested in doing more than just donating, a lot of volunteers are needed throughout the day, too. See how to volunteer and all that volunteering entails here!

If you’re a part of a company, and are up to the challenge of facing off with the Compass Crew, this is a perfect opportunity to give back, boost morale, and make your staff proud to support such an amazing cause.  Find out how to register here!

WHY WE CARE:

As many of you know, our COMPASSion initiative is constantly growing. We started our Compass Cares program last year and couldn’t be happier with how it’s evolved. As a Corporate Housing provider, we realized that we were in the perfect position to give back. Patients and their families travel to Boston Children's from 200 plus countries and all 50 states, seeking care they can't get closer to home. If the stress of having a sick child isn't enough, they find themselves in need of a place to stay that's close by the hospital and affordable--in a city that's getting increasingly expensive. We've helped reduce that stress by heavily discounting our units for them, allowing them to focus on what matters most - being there for their sick child. Our apartments are conveniently located right next to both Boston Children’s Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital, making it painless for patients to go back and forth for treatment. The success of our first year only inspired us more. We housed 197 families and supported 22 hospitals. The Corporate Cup is an extremely inspirational event and aligns with our culture perfectly! We could not be more excited to come together, spend the day giving back, and having fun. Wish us luck!
