I love helping people and always knew that it was a passion of mine. Many don’t know but I started my career as a classroom teacher. When I transitioned to the “business world” about 10 years ago I knew that keeping my “educator’s hat” on was inevitable.
The “education” part has morphed into a “collaboration” as I work hand-in-hand with companies to come up with solutions for their travel and accommodation challenges.
Within my role in Business Development I have the pleasure of working with companies of all type and sizes. The number one concern of these companies is employee satisfaction and retention. Employers are always looking for unique ways to help their staff be happy in their new city and job. The worst nightmare for a company is to hire a rockstar employee, spend a significant amount of money to move them and their family, and not provide them with the proper resources to have them acclimate quickly and hit the ground running.
When I met RIC about 4 years ago in 2014, they were looking for a better way to serve their employees above and beyond giving them hotel rooms. They weren’t looking to save money because their priority was to have a strong reputation of serving their employees and providing them with terrific relocation and travel benefits. The additional savings (over $50K) was the cherry on top.
