The last few months have certainly thrown a LOT at us to say the least, but I made sure to put as much positivity and excitement into this blog as possible. Although COVID-19 delayed things a bit, we're so eager and excited to share our 2019 Annual Compass Cares Compassion Report!

Our Compassion Report displays all the amazing work, programs, and stories that have been compiled over the past year. 2019 was a huge year for us - more philanthropic initiatives, partnerships, and patients helped. We're excited to see how this program continues to grow within 2020, despite it being an unusual year, it's allowed us to help even more people throughout the uncertainty.

A MESSAGE FROM AMBER, DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY

"It's 2020 and there's one thing we know for certain - just how necessary our Compass Cares program is. Throughout the past few months, we’ve been working hard to house frontline workers during the pandemic. We've been able to form lasting relationships with like-minded organizations, sponsor Boston Children’s Hospital's Corporate Cup, and finally...complete our Compassion Report!

While this report is full of exciting facts and updated statistics, my favorite part is the stories section. We share some incredibly intimate stories told by parents of children who've stayed with us. I'm constantly inspired by the strength and resilience of these families (and I think you will be, too). These stories are not only the heart and soul of our Compass Cares program, but the the reason we do what we do.

This year has already taught me a lot, but there's two things that are abundantly clear. One is that there's a serious housing crisis for patients and families traveling for medical treatment. Second, we're stronger when we come together as a community to do good. I hope our Compassion Report inspires you to stand with us in support of patients and families. Their life truly depends on it. Now, without further ado, I present to you the 2019 COMPASSion Report!"

The Compass Crew had the honor of participating in Boston Children's Hospital's 2020 Corporate Cup. We were partnered with Emma, a longtime BCH patient with an incredible story. Read Emma's blog, get to know her, and learn more about her relationship with Compass Cares. READ HER BLOG!

Compass did something big for last year's Closer to Free event. We created a collaborative art piece that will decorate the halls of our New Haven #ARTlab building. This installation will act as an art therapy piece for our housed patients and be a reminder of how we can do more when we work together. SEE THE FINAL PRODUCT!

We're constantly growing new partnerships, working on new philanthropic initiatives, and helping to house patients and families in our available apartments. We'd love for you to join in on an event and partner with us. Learn more about what we do and see how you can get involved! EXPORE OUR PROGRAM.
